Basic Notary 101

Our Live Basic Notary 101 seminar is the approved mandatory course required for new and renewing applicants. It includes instruction in understanding the law, our functions and general knowledge of being a Notary Public. This seminar was developed by our staff and is approved by the state to meet the mandatory education requirement for new applicants. At the completion of the seminar you will be issued a certificate of completion. This certificate must be attached to the completed application along with the required processing fee. The complete packet must be forwarded to the State Senator of your residence for their signature. They will then forward it to the State Department through legislative channels for final processing and approval.

Live Basic Notary 101 Seminar and Full Commission Processing

This package includes the Live Basic Notary 101 seminar which is the mandatory course required for new and renewing applicants and Full Commission Processing. It includes instruction in understanding the law, our functions and general knowledge of being a Notary Public. This seminar was developed by our staff and is approved by the state to meet the mandatory education requirement for new applicants. Although the process of filing your application and acquiring the required signatures is fairly simple, with this package we will handle the full application process for you. All you have to do is register at your local courthouse. This DOES NOT include courthouse registration fees.

Signing Agents

The basic definition of a "Signing Agent" is a Notary Public who handles the execution and notarization of mortgage, refinancing and real estate transactions in the Commonwealth of PA. This designation of "Signing Agent" is now being used widely. And it varies from state to state and unfortunately from Notary to Notary. Our course is an in depth training program in these real estate documents and how they are executed. There are many organizations that do this. But not all are the same. They vary in education; training and most are not consistent with PA law.

An "Accredited Signing Agent" or ASA is a Notary Public extensively trained by PA Notary Academy to handle real estate closings. Our certification course focuses only on PA law and is the only one of its kind in PA. We teach a Notary Public what they can and can not do during these types of transactions.

ASA Training

This extensive program is done in a classroom setting at various locations around the state or online. This course will walk you through a "mock closing" and teach how to perform mortgage closings. It teaches the information you need to execute the documents within the Commonwealths' laws for Notaries Public. Title agents, settlement officers and ASAs are the main sources for this course. Their experience and success in the business make this the best and most comprehensive course available for PA Notaries. They are successful as "Signing Agents" and share that knowledge and experience with you, unlike educators who only teach the subject.

This package is for all renewing Notaries who DO NOT need education to renew. According to the Notary Act if you were a properly commissioned Notary Public on July 1, 2003, you are exempted from meeting the educational requirement for renewal.

Live Seminars

• You must present current and valid photo id at registration.
• Registration begins 30 minutes before scheduled start time.
• Please be sure to arrive no later than 15 minutes before scheduled start time for the registration process.
• All morning seminars will begin PROMPTLY at 9:00 AM and last until 12:00 PM.
• All afternoon seminars will begin PROMPTLY at 1:00 PM.
• You must be pre-registered for all classes.
• No walk ins will be accepted.
• All materials for the seminar will be provided at registration.

Cancellations for our live seminars policy;

• Cancellations by students must be received by us five days prior to the scheduled class by the following methods for full refund.

• Transfers to other classes are accepted one day prior to class. That can be done by phone or email.

• Refunds are not available for a commission processing package for anyone who fails to finish the procedure for any reason.
• Refunds are not available for a commission processing packages either with a course or alone, for anyone who is rejected by the state.
• We reserve the right to cancel any class with full refund.

Our online courses meet the same high standard and contain the same information as our live seminars. You can take our courses anywhere there is a computer and an internet connection. They can be taken at your pace and we are always available to provide any information or help, by email or phone.
